Hiri Queen
Bala Moumou is from Milne Bay and is married to a Central wife. He learned his craft as a painter and drawer from one of the designers of PNG currency and he worked for many years designing curriculum books

Inspired by the beautiful traditional attire of Motuan women seen during the Hiri Moale Festival. Even as PNG is changing and embracing modernity, the Hiri Queen still has value and should be honoured and recognised.
