The Movement
Malcolm Maira, is 19 years old and lives in Port Moresby. He is the second son of well-known painter, potter and sculptor from East Sepik, Nanias Maira.

The work tells the story of a woman and man raising their
children to ensure there is always there is food on the table.
In towns couples have access to cars to move their cargo. In
the village they must carry their cargo so many miles by foot.
It is the women who do this work. In this time of COVID-19
this movement wont stop. Wok mus go yet – there are
hungry mouths to feed.
