Heartwarming Support from Tourism Promotion Authority Boosts Monthly Craft Markets at Moresby Arts Theatre

In a generous show of community spirit, the Tourism Promotion Authority has donated essential equipment to support the Moresby Arts Theatre’s vibrant monthly craft markets.

On February 19, 2026, the official presentation took place at the Moresby Arts Theatre, bringing together staff from both MAT and TPA to celebrate this initiative. The donation included 37 tables, chairs, and tents, 12 hanging poles, and 2 trash bins, providing a tremendous boost to the organization’s efforts to host safe, comfortable, and well-organized craft markets for the community.

The contribution is set to make a tangible difference for both vendors and visitors and will help create a welcoming, professional environment for our craft markets. It encourages local artisans, strengthens community engagement, and enhances the overall experience for everyone attending.

With the new resources in place, the monthly craft markets are poised to grow even more popular, offering a vibrant space for local artists and entrepreneurs to showcase their talents while bringing families and friends together.

The collaboration between MAT and TPA demonstrates the power of local organizations working hand in hand to celebrate arts, culture, and community spirit in Port Moresby.

The Moresby Arts Theatre extends heartfelt thanks to the Tourism Promotion Authority for this meaningful donation, which will have a lasting impact on the craft markets and the broader community.
