On Tuesday, 25 September 2025, the Moresby Arts Theatre’s newly refurbished Pottery Barn came alive for the first time in 23 years with its very first pottery class, led by ceramic artist Natasha Bing.
Seasoned creators and first-time artists alike got their hands into the clay, shaping bowls, mugs, and sculptures while discovering the joy of this timeless art form. The energy was vibrant—part workshop, part celebration of what’s possible in MAT’s new creative hub.
Thanks to the generous support from The Australian Government’s Incentive Fund, the Pottery Barn now offers modern facilities including two wonderful new kilns, accessibility upgrades, and a fresh space for Port Moresby’s artistic community to grow.
